Nia, Inc. of Greater Richmond was formed in 1992 as a response to Pastor Watson’s vision to make a positive difference in the church’s surrounding community called Church Hill. Since that time, the church has experienced exponential growth and now has over 10,000 members and two campuses: one in eastern Henrico County and another in south Richmond. These changes helped to precipitate the broadening of Nia’s ministry, from serving a single community to multiple ones and from viewing ‘communities’ strictly from a geographical perspective to seeing ‘communities of interest.’
