Nia recognizes the need to meet and serve communities where they are and then sensitively and responsibly act to bring about the needed changes so that the communities are increasingly transformed from one state of prosperity to the next; hence, our vision statement:
We are a vibrant community development corporation effectively transforming communities from one state of health up to the next.
Mission
The name, “Nia” means “purpose” in Swahili and Nia sees as its purpose “helping people to help themselves and others” live more productively; therefore, Nia has adopted the following mission statement.We exist to provide opportunities for people to help themselves and others improve their quality of life.
