The nitrile FC2 Female Condom is designed to be worn by women to help prevent HIV/AIDS, other sexually transmitted diseases, and unintended pregnancy. Made of nitrile, this is softer than polyurethane.
 
This thin sheath lines the vagina and covers the labia during intercourse. It is held in place with a flexible ring at each end. Clinical studies in the United States and Japan show that the Female Condom is 95% to 98% effective in protection against pregnancy when used correctly and consistently. Studies have also shown the Female Condom to be a highly effective barrier to viruses and bacteria that cause sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV/AIDS.
